Rinda West Designs - Garden Sanctuaries for Chicago
why native plants?   continued
Native plants will NOT increase the presence of mosquitos in your landscape. In fact, they may decrease mosquito populations. Mosquitos need at least 10 days of standing water to breed.

Native plants' roots take up water more efficiently than do many other plants. We will design your garden with water movement in mind, so if you have low spots where water often puddles, we'll install plants that will help to use that water more efficiently.
